Community Education

Development in our Communities.

Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much. — Helen Keller

The Three Drives Family Resource Centre is a not for profit  Organisation situated in a large  Local Authority Housing Estate. We cater for people in the surrounding areas and engage in outreach on a regular basis. We are funded by T.U.S.L.A.

Residents Groups

We support local residents to undertake initiatives that will lead to estate enhancement and increased community spirit. This can entail, house painting schemes, mini environmental improvements such as the planting up of hanging baskets and the development and upkeep of flower beds in green areas.

We provide a range of accredited and non accredited training programs on an on-going basis.

  • Cookery Level 3
  • First Aid Response (FAR)
  • Manual Handling

Classes and groups include but not limited to;

  • Pilates
  • Sewing
  • Ukulele
  • Gardening and Bio-diversity
  • Baby Massage

We also run Mindfulness and Self-Care workshops throughout the year.

Check our Facebook page for updates on training, workshops and classes.

Community Garden

The Centre has developed a community garden within the housing estates. With the help of local volunteers and residents it is maintained on a regular basis. Our Gardening and Bio-diversity Groups work in this garden throughout the year.

This garden promotes an over-all sense of well-being. Having the opportunity to connect with our environment and promoting a shared passion for the outdoors.
